OUR SERVICES

We provide primary healthcare services to include diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries, as well as preventive care services and adult immunizations. Basic women’s health services are also provided.

We also diagnose and provide treatment for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, focusing on patient education and prevention.

If you need a specialist, we are also able to refer you to the right provider to handle all your healthcare needs.

 At Hope Community Health Center our goal is to provide whole-person healthcare, which includes not only meeting your medical health needs, but also your mental health needs, as well. 

Our staff counselors are all trained and skilled in providing culturally humble, trauma-informed care and they do so in coordination with our medical staff, as appropriate.

Individual counseling, as well as group counseling sessions are available to provide the best treatment and environment possible for hope and healing.

One of the most unique programs offered by Hope Community Health Center is our Forensic program. This program provides initial and follow up exams for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and non-fatal strangulation. 

These services are provided in a very safe and private space by compassionate, trauma-informed staff specifically skilled in this area.  Forensic exams include a health checkup, evidence collection, documentation of any injuries, and preventative medications for STIs, pregnancy, and HIV when applicable. All parts of the forensic exam are voluntary and led by the patient.  A survivor advocate is available for support during the exam. 

Our forensic staff often coordinates with our medical and counseling staff to meet the total healthcare needs of survivors. We also work in conjunction with the New Orleans Family Justice Center, which provides a complete array of wrap-around services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
